The industry had become about redundancy and layoffs to cut costs. This had become too much. You will argue these are necessary business decisions to ensure the business survives during the pandemic. And, you are probably right. However, we must consider the impact on the human behind the decisions.
More importantly, leaders need to gather around those that are left and create support, reassurance and translate a vision so our teams know there is a plan for them.
